Description

PLASPEROX TBH - 72 i.e. Tertiary Butyl Hydro Peroxide is a convenient source of free radicals for the polymerization of Methacrylates, Styrene, Acetates and Polyester Resins among a horde of others. PLASPEROX TBH - 80 i.e. Tertiary Butyl Hydro Peroxide is a convenient source of free radicals for the polymerization of Methacrylates, Styrene, Acetates and Polyester Resins among a horde of others. PLASPEROX TBP - 50 is a yellowish mobile liquid consisting of ca. 50% w/w t-butyl perbenzoate de-sensitised with plasticizers. This aromatic perester is also available as a technically pure liquid but can be hazardous in this form. The peroxide is used as an initiator (radical source) in the curing of unsaturated polyester resins. Main application : Hot Press moulding of DMC at 130 – 1600 C.PLASPEROX TBP - 98 is a non - volatile sweet smelling pale-straw coloured liquid with a minimum purity of 98%, the balance being mainly di-t-butyl peroxide. It yellows on exposure to sunlight which, however, is not detrimental to its performance. It is completely stable at room temperature. Although chemically inert, it decomposes on contact with heavy metals and their salts, but the decomposition does not readily become vigorous.
