Mayur Electro Ceramics is a manufaturer of Electrical Porcelain Insulators used in overhead transmission and distribution lines and sub station equipment. The company manufactures a wide range of High Tension and Low Tension Insulators adhering to stringent quality of Indian and International standards in its plant located in Mayurbhanj District in the eastern coastal state of Orissa.

Mayur also manufactures products such as A.B.Switches, H.G. Fuses, Fire Bricks,Insulating Bricks, Galvanized G.I. cross arms and castable refractories, Raming Mass and Mortar.

Mayur Electro Ceramics is known for its technological improvements in design and production of highly sophisticated Insulators. The plant is also equipped with extensive testing facilities, which include physical and chemical analysis for all raw materials and a high voltage electrical testing laboratory for performing Routine and Acceptance Tests in conformity with Indian and International standards.

Mayur Electro Ceramics was established in 1985. The plant is at Pratapgarh in the district of Mayurbhanj surrounded by beautiful hills of Badampahar; Sulaipat and lush green fields. With the helf of experienced technical persons highly sophisticated High tension Porcelain Insulators are manufactured to fulfill customer’s requirement.

Mayur Speciality

An insulator can be no better than the porcelain. Mayur never compromise with the substandard raw materials. Physical and chemical analysis is performed on each consignment received from the mines. Grain size is controlled. Moisture in the Filters Press Cakes is controlled. Every meter length of the rolls, coming out from the De- airing Pug Mill is checked for “Vaccum”. Tools are designed to give the desired dimensions. Controlled drying is done to have the minimum stresses in the Porcelain. Controlled firing is done to get fully vitrified insulators to obtain maximum electromechanical strength. Above all, Mayur never forgets that the primary function of “Hardwares” or any insulator assembly is to load the porcelain with least possible harm to it. Finally, these ceramic skills offer maximum reliability for the future.
