Castor Oil is a fatty oil extracted from Castor Beans either by pressing or by solvent extraction. Castor Beans are widely grown in arid regions of India, Brazil, & China. In the earlier days Castor was used primarily for medicinal purposes. However, since 1845, when it was discovered that the castor oil when processed gives interesting results, it's utility value has increased greatly.
